The Didrichsen Art Museum is located in the beautiful, natural district of Kuusisaari in Helsinki. The modern seaside building designed by architect Viljo Revell creates an impressive background for Finnish and international art gems as well as objects from ancient times.
The collection of Marie-Louise and Gunnar Didrichsen is displayed in their former private residence and the adjacent museum wing. The exhibition includes both domestic and international paintings and sculptures. Additionally, the basement floor of the museum wing contains objects from ancient cultures of Asia, as well as Central and South America.
The Didrichsen Art Museum organises 2–3 temporary exhibitions per year based on the museum’s modern art collection or ancient themes. The museum provides guided tours and a variety of supplementary events.
