Vihti Museum is a cultural history museum with the aim of collecting, researching, storing and exhibiting examples of the local culture in the area.Vihti museum opened in 1988 in the former chaplain residence, Pikkupappila. The museum consists of a ticket office and two permanent exhibitions. One of the exhibitions shows how the surroundings have changed in Vihti during the last 10 000 years, and it also highlights the economic development in the region. The other exhibition shows what an average farmer’s house looked like 100 years ago.
Literature and other items can be bought in the museum shop, which is located in Pikkupappila.
The museum’s space for temporary exhibitions and the Evacuation Museum are in Niuhala old school building, which can be visited with a guide leaflet available in Pikkupappila.
