The Guitar Manor presents the history of handmade Finnish guitars. The exhibition sets out to provide a realistic picture of the kinds of instruments that were used by ordinary people in the past decades. The extensive selection features acoustic instruments from lesser-known Helena guitars made in Sipoo to much-sought-after Nosos and Landola-Munkers models from Pietarsaari.
Lapinjärvi Guitar Manor also features other instruments. The collection of almost 60 Finnish, Russian and Italian accordions is impressive, and the guitar room also exhibits several drum kits from a period spanning from the war years to the 1960s. In the electric instruments collection, early Hagström models are accompanied by, for example, Philips tube amplifiers and old echo devices.
