One of the key objectives of the Pellinki homestead association is to preserve knowledge on how people used to live on the island. The association has succeeded in this, having created a museum in Ölandet, near the Pellinki chapel.
The main building of the Hörbergsgården farm, dating from the mid-19th century, was moved from Söderby to its current location in 1963, and Hörbergsgården Museum was opened nine years later. The museum office is located in the adjacent building, Marin Tupa, also moved to the museum area from Söderby. The museum shop sells local handicrafts of high quality.
The area also features a storage building, workshop from Rabbas, horse stable, barn, sheep fold and shore building. The shore also has two boatsheds built by the association for the various old wooden boats in its collection. In addition, the association has built two new boats in the traditional style: a fishing boat and a flat-bottom rowboat.
