The Cable Factory in Ruoholahti offers a colourful cultural backdrop for domestic and international modern photography, as well as some classic pieces of photography. The old industrial facility with its 800 square meters houses a multi-faceted and inspiring temporary exhibition programme.

The museum offers high-quality art, visual experiences as well as current, engaging photography. The Finnish Museum of Photography exposes the modern masters as well as the vivid history of photography.

The exhibitions include programmes for all ages. The special museum boasts a collection of nearly 4 million photographs, extensive archives, a research library and a museum shop. The museum’s active website contains a tonne of information related to the industry.
