In 1986, Mrs Hannele Peusa donated money for the purpose of founding Pukkila Museum’s exhibition. With this donation, researcher Tuula Pärssinen designed and created the permanent exhibition in two outbuildings of Koivulinna Gallery, consisting of main room and guest room interiors, a cowhouse, a smoke sauna and a wagon shed. The collection includes agricultural tools, household utensils, furniture and textiles.
One of the display cases show a cobbler at work. Most of the artefacts are from the Savijoki cobbler’s shop, used by cobblers Juho Suonio and his son Paavo Suonio. The exhibition also offers a small glimpse into the history of the Pukkila brick factory.
