The Alikartano Manor, also known as the Frugård estate, became property of the Nordenskiöld family at the beginning of the 18th century.  The manor is known for being the childhood home of the explorer Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld, who was the first to sail along the Northern Sea Route.

The symmetrical style of the Alikartano Manor’s garden is based on baroque classicism. The floor plan and the shape of the roof of the main building, which was completed in 1805, are one of a kind in Finland. The rooms are positioned around the hall, which is two storeys high and lit from above. Some of the rooms have been decorated in the style of the early 19th century. The scientific accomplishments and hobbies of the Nordenskiöld family are on display in the manor. The brook valley next to the manor is also worth visiting.
