The Finnish Basketball Museum is located in Kotka, South-East Finland. Besides Kotka’s main exhibition Basketball Museum has an exhibition in Myyrmäki’s Energia Areena.
 
The exhibition presents Vilho Nuoreva, who fell in love with the game in the 1927 YMCA games in Denmark and brought the sport to Finland. In the decade after, basketball reached all corners of the country, leading to the establishment of the Finnish Basketball Association in 1939.
 
The history of Finnish basketball is showcased in the exhibition containing flags and trophies from around the world, conveying exciting moments from tournaments. The temporary exhibition showcases various teams.
