The Military History Special Museum in Tuusula showcases Finnish anti-aircraft systems from 1925 to today. In addition to its extensive outdoor exhibition space, the museum covers two showrooms and the Captain’s residence, the oldest building in Tuusula, which was built in the 1700s and showcases the military tradition of Tuusula.

The Helsinki showroom exhibits include anti-aircraft equipment from the Second World War. The exhibition particularly emphasises the defence victory gained in the bombardment of Helsinki in 1944. The displays take visitors on a journey to the atmosphere of the war in homes and on the frontlines. There are photographs, newspaper front pages, as well as propaganda from both Finland and the Soviet Union.

The Tuusula showroom sheds light on the history behind the Finnish anti-aircraft defence and its post-war development. Four multimedia points introduce the visitors to the operation of anti-aircraft equipment.

The outdoor space showcases heavy anti-aircraft artillery. The firing unit, target radars and missile preparation sites are presented with signs.
