Karkkila-Högfors Workers’ Museum, the Foundry Museum of Finland and Högfors Blast Furnace constitute Karkkila Ironworks Museum Senkka, a museum specialising in the history of the foundry industry.

Karkkila-Högfors Workers’ Museum is an open air museum in the area of Fagerkulla, which demonstrates the living conditions and environments of the workers from around 1850 to the 1960s. The old dwellings, set in their original sites, have been furnished as workers’ homes from different decades.

The old bakers cottage, Pakari, is home to a summer café.

Opening Hours: 12.6 – 15.8: Wed – Sun 12 – 16. Guided tours every hour on the hour. Also open for groups by arrangement.
