A 19th-century tandem bicycle, bone ice skates and an ancient ski kick off the fascinating history of physical exercise, which runs in track and field shoes made by the village shoemaker towards the golden moments of Finnish motor sports and ice hockey.
The permanent exhibition covers Finnish sports and physical education culture comprehensively. In addition, there are annual special exhibitions, one of which is always targeted at children.
The seats and nostalgic film clips of Kino Nurmi take you to the pole positions of sports. A free jukebox allows you to cheer along with ice hockey crowds or listen to nostalgic sports commentaries.
The Virtual Viren treadmill takes you to the decisive moments at the Olympic Games in Montreal. At the end of the physically and emotionally moving tour, you can test your knowledge in a multimedia sports quiz.
