During the Winter War and the Continuation War, Finnish men and women made incredible sacrifices both on the frontline and at home to defend the freedom of the country. The Veteran Museum pays homage to our ancestors, who sacrificed their lives so that today’s Finns could live in a free country.

Pernaja Veteran Museum was established in 1997 and expanded in 2004. The objects on display were mainly donated by Pernaja war veterans and their families. The exhibition includes items like handicrafts created during quiet times on the frontline, uniforms, literature, medals and photographs. There is also a scale model of a trench.
