The history of serial-production outboard engines reaches back a hundred years. In the course of these years, primitive engines have evolved into the handy and efficient boating partners that we have learnt to rely on. The journey has been varied and interesting.

The museum provides not only the exhibition space with outboard engines but also the opportunity to explore various tools, manuals, brochures and other literature on the subject. The exhibition is constantly changing: around fifty engines are on display at a time, and there is always one on the workshop bench being worked on.

Museum owner Nisse Häggblom has been in the boat business for more than 50 years. From the very beginning, he has had the habit of putting aside old, interesting outboard engines that no longer have any actual service value. Some of the engines are stored by museums in Kotka and Savonlinna.
