The museum and exhibitions mainly portray agricultural developments in the Pojo region. The museum consists of seven different buildings and over 3200 displayed items. The dwelling house, still set in its original building place, was the main building on a tenant holding owned by the Fiskars company. The building was acquired by Pojo local history society in 1964.
The loft storage building originates from Lönnhammar in North Pojo and contains item exhibits. One room has been furnished as a maid’s summertime sleeping quarters.
The grain store was moved from Brödtorp in 1988. The ground level is home to ploughs and harrows, and upstairs is used for displays of fishing and hunting equipment.
The farm labourer’s cottage was moved to the museum in 1983. The cottage is of a ”morastuga” style with a living room, a chamber and an entrance hall. The cottage contains a selection of old tools.
Two storage warehouses have been built on the museum site. The first building was constructed in 1975 and contains items used in agriculture and dairy production. The second building, designed to hold wagons and carriages, was constructed in 1987 and extended in 2005. Today it also houses, amongst other things, a comprehensive collection of mopeds and chainsaws. The museum café is also in this building.
