Art and Museum Centre Sinkka offers visitors unforgettable experiences with high-quality art and local cultural history. At Sinkka, the creations of designers at the Keravan Puusepäntehdas carpentry shop and the Orno lamp and light-fixture factory overlap with the recent history and latest phenomena in the visual arts. The repertoire includes exhibitions, workshops, lectures and seminars. Information about light design can also be found in the comfort of the Orno lounge.

The name of the art and museum centre refers to the local carpentry industry as well as the beautiful premises renovated for museum operations and opened in 2012. Sinkka translates as dovetail, a timber joint also depicted in Kerava’s coat of arms. Like a strong timber joint, Art and Museum Centre Sinkka closely interlinks the operations of Kerava Museum and Kerava Museum of Art, thereby bringing them under the same roof and offering diverse, surprising and fresh cultural events for locals and tourists alike.
