At the Theatre Museum in the Cable Factory of Ruoholahti, visitors can try out film dubbing karaoke, wear their favourite character’s outfit or pretend to be a lighting technician! The interactive museum lets visitors acquaint themselves with the past and the present of theatre by peeking behind the curtain and trying out various theatre professions.

The museum has over 20 interactive points where visitors can try out news reading, creating a programme by using their own photo or dubbing film clips. The old-time radio can be cranked up to the sounds of legendary actors recounting their theatre memories, and the jukebox offers some classic theatre soundtracks.

The museum’s colourful selection of theatre costumes, set models and props enchant both children and grown-ups. The Theatre Museum also includes archives, temporary exhibitions and a multitude of events.
