An avid collector of art, former WSOY director Yrjö A. Jäntti (1905–1985) donated a collection of more than a thousand works to the City of Porvoo in 1984, including paintings, sculptures, graphics and drawings. The collection represents Finnish art from a period spanning from the late 19th century to the 1980s.

The collection provides a diverse overview of Finnish art and artists. It features a number of gems, including works by A. W. Finch, Rafael Wardi and Juhani Linnovaara. The art of sculpture is represented by, for example, Raimo Utriainen, Tapio Junno and Kaija-Riitta Iivonen.

The collection of statuettes is exceptional in scope and quality. The collection also includes a large quantity of graphic art. The exhibition at Porvoo’s Art Factory presents the newest part of the collection. Some of the works in the collection are exhibited in other public spaces in the city.
