Hyvinkää Art Museum gives you the chance to enjoy the power of colour and high-quality art.
The art museum located in the town centre displays paintings by Helene Schjerfbeck, Yrjö Saarinen and Kaapo Wirtanen, who used to live in the region. 
 
Illustrative art is rooted in the traditions of Hyvinkää since the beginning of the 20th century when Helene Schjerfbeck moved to the region. The museum has a room dedicated to Schjerfbeck, exhibiting works the artist painted using models from Hyvinkää.
 
You can immerse yourself into a plethora of colour with Yrjö Saarinen’s expressionist paintings. The representative collection of Saarinen’s art guarantees an enjoyable experience of the power of colour and artwork tantalising to senses.
 
The changing exhibitions present Finnish and foreign contemporary art as well as traditional illustrative art of the region. Exhibitions include concerts, workshops for schools and activities for children’s nurseries. The ticket office operates a small museum shop.
