The sign of Bar Takko in Sonkajärvi. The artist M. A. Numminen wrote about one of his favourite bars: ”The roof and the doorframes were yellow, the walls red like berry porridge, except for one wall, which was of a yellowish-green hue. The register and the bar counter were bright red. The bar was decorated with plants, a rya rug and an old photograph of Paris.” (Baarien mies, 1986.) The bar operated in the ground floor of a private house and maintained the same atmosphere from the 1970s all the way to 1992.
